Daily Life in Photos

As usual I have failed to write up an entry prior to coming to town with internet.  Of course now that I'm here the internet is fantastic, so I thought I'd take the chance to upload some photos of daily life in community.

May-July is sugar cane harvesting season in my community, meaning these huge trucks come barreling down the dirt road outside my hut until early in the morning.  While I won't miss the dust and noise, I love watching the neighborhood kids chase after the trucks in hopes of snagging a lose piece of sugar cane.  After school, all of the school kids can be found climbing around the empty trucks scavenging for scraps.
